Sacred Teachings: part two of series

What is palo santo? What’s the difference between this property + sage? Or incense? Why do we use it?

The Power of Palo Santo

There is something beautiful about the way palo santo invites us to slow down. Traditionally used in spiritual and ceremonial practices, palo santo is often associated with purification, grounding, and creating sacred space.

Just like any ritual property, the power isn't in the wood alone. It is in the intention you bring to it. Light it with reverence. Let the smoke move through your space. Take a breath and become present.

You might ask:

What am I ready to release?
What am I ready to welcome?

Let the smoke be a reminder that you don't have to carry everything with you. Sometimes creating sacred space begins with simply deciding that you are worthy of one.

REMEMBER: sage is an element used to bring the energy in a space back to a neutral setting + in comparison, palo santo is an element used with the intention of removing any negativy energy from a space, not all of the energy how sage will.
